Here’s the official TEL AVIV PRIDE PARADE 2017 video that I made for the municipality of Tel Aviv and the Ministry of Tourism. This is the third official TLV Pride Parade video in a row and it’s easily the most ambitious one yet. What I used to shoot this:
A day before the TLV Pride Parade I went and finally got THIS ULTRA WIDE ANGLE LENS that I wanted to have for a while to replace my ultra heavy Tokina 16 – 28mm f/2.8. This one is tiny, light and with the 2 month trip to Canada and the US upcoming, clearly the better choice since it’s weather sealed as well. So the Tel Aviv Pride was a good first opportunity to put the lens through its paces and to get familiar with how it performs in a real world, live shooting situation where things are moving fast and there’s barely any time for hiccups.
On the ground I shot everything with the Canon 1DX Mark II, mostly in 1080 with 120 and 60 frames per second. It was burning hot that day and the camera got super hot at times. However it performed without any lag or stuttering. From what I hear, there’s no chance a Sony A7SII would have handled this that easily. SUper happy to see that I can rely on the 1D. I used my trusted Glidecam HD-2000 stabilizer all day, except of a few handheld shots.
All aerial sequences are shots are shot with the DJI Mavic Pro in 4K.
